Job summary

Pontoon is seeking a Product Management Coach on a 6‑month contract across Edinburgh, Leeds, Halifax, Manchester, Chester and Bristol with two days on site. You will drive product management maturity and coach leaders to embed customer‑centred practices in our operations.

You will guide discovery, strategy, backlog refinement, and value‑based decisions while influencing senior stakeholders to deliver measurable customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in product management or leadership.
• Experience coaching product leaders to elevate practices.
• Experience in enterprise and high-growth settings.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders including CxOs.
• Strong focus on customer needs and commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Coaching: provide practical guidance to product leaders and teams.
• Collaborative Partnership: align product maturity with agile delivery.
• Stakeholder Influence: cultivate product thinking among senior leaders.
• Maturity Assessment: identify gaps and recommend improvements.
• Champion Customer Insight: ensure decisions reflect customer needs and lifecycle stages.
• Coach on discovery, strategy, prioritization, and value-based decisions.
• Guide teams in problem definition, customer insights, and backlog refinement.
• Foster collaboration between Product Owners and Product Managers.
• Support teams in understanding customer lifecycles to inform decisions.
• Advocate for best practices and standards in product management.
