Job summary

AG Barr is seeking a Product Innovation Technologist to play a critical role in our Alcohol Team, helping bring innovation plans to fruition and collaborating on new and existing product development projects across the business up to Managing Director level.

You will develop formulations with the NPD manager, coordinate sampling and factory trials, review specifications, and support technical projects while maintaining customer databases and high product quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience within an NPD department in the food manufacturing industry.
• Experience with beverages and alcoholic drinks is highly desirable.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
• Degree in Food Science or related discipline or equivalent technical experience.
• Good manufacturing practices and food quality assurance systems; HACCP Level 2 desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop new and existing formulations with the NPD manager and organise sample tastings.
• Coordinate gold standard sampling, attend factory trials, and visit manufacturing sites.
• Review and update product and raw material specifications.
• Support technical projects, complete customer forms, and maintain customer databases.
• Track customer complaints with the Quality Manager and ensure high quality product standards.

As our Product Innovation Technologist you will...
