Product Experience (PX) represents the voice of consumers within IFF and helps drive regional sales by providing insightful intelligence to optimize the consumer product experience.

IFF PX Europe is seeking a Product Experience Researcher for a 12-month maternity cover, starting October 2024, based at our site in Haverhill, Suffolk, UK.

As a Product Experience Researcher, you will guide sensory and consumer research projects aligned with business opportunities and corporate strategies. Focusing on the snack category, you will collaborate with creation and design teams to generate insights relevant to product design and formulation, and work with commercial and marketing teams to ensure impactful customer engagement.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in sensory and consumer research, be strategic, collaborative, pragmatic, and results-oriented. Passion for the field and a desire to make a difference are essential.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Influencing high-impact projects for top European snack customers by leveraging insights.
  2. Screening snack project pipeline, managing support requests, prioritizing, and aligning with stakeholders.
  3. Designing and executing sensory and consumer research to generate actionable insights for product development.
  4. Analyzing complex data using statistical models.
  5. Communicating insights effectively to stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Masters or PhD in Sensory Science, Experimental Psychology, Food Science, or related field.
  • Proficiency in sensory and consumer methodologies.
  • Skills in statistical analysis and modeling.
  • Ability to craft compelling data-driven stories.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
