Job summary

BSRIA in Bracknell is seeking a Product Engineer (Test) to support delivery of accurate and reliable testing services across the project lifecycle. You will set up instrumentation, prepare rigs, test HVAC equipment, and assist Senior Engineers with reports and proposals.

The role offers hands-on experience, data analysis development, and the chance to work to ISO/IEC 17025 standards while learning and contributing to continuous improvement in a quality-focused engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a similar role or maths/science qualifications.
• Methodical with practical diagnostic abilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up instrumentation and prepare rigs for tests.

The Product Engineer (Test) role is a great opportunity to kickstart your career in engineering. You will help deliver accurate and reliable services while gaining hands‑on experience across the full project lifecycle.

You will get involved in setting up instrumentation, preparing rigs, testing HVAC equipment, and supporting Senior Engineers with reports and proposals. There may also be chances to support projects off‑site, giving you variety and real‑world experience.

Along the way, you'll build skills in data analysis, documentation, and working to industry standards such as ISO/IEC 17025. It's a role that offers plenty of learning and development while making a real impact.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide range of services.
• Validate procedures for new and existing products and services.
• Ensure all services are delivered accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.
• Conduct fault diagnosis and report on findings.
• Monitor and manage resources, including tools, equipment, and materials.
• Feedback strategies to optimise efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve service delivery.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Support the execution of strategic initiatives and business plans.
• Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Maintain knowledge of advancements in technologies and methodologies.
• Provide technical guidance and training to the team and other departments as needed

Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Provide technical support and items for consideration.
• Address customer enquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Adhere to corporate and quality policies and where new or modified versions are required, engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment across the organisation.
• Maintain compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001 and other corporate policies.
• Maintain detailed records of activities and ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
• Any other duties commensurate with the role

About You

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, or maths and science qualifications.
• Methodical with a practical ability including diagnostic skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• PC literate.
• Ability to apply critical thinking to evaluate scenarios and make informed decisions.
