Job summary

Versey, a London-based writing editor startup, is seeking a frontend engineer to help build a high-performance writing space with AI agents. You will work across Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind to deliver a polished, reliable product.

You will tackle syncing, local-first design, live collaboration between humans and AI, and agent orchestration, shipping features end-to-end from idea to production. Expect a fast-paced, craft-focused environment with opportunities to contribute to writing itself.

Qualifications

• Experience building high-performance writing interfaces.
• Strong sense for interaction design and craft.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows and agent orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Build a beautifully crafted, high-performance writing space you can be proud of.
• Solve problems across syncing, local-first, high reliability, live collaboration amongst humans and AI, and agent orchestration.
• Define and ship features end-to-end, from idea to production
• Speak to customers and use analytics to inform product decisions
• Design and implement AI-native editor interactions (inline suggestions, version tracking)
• Join an early team and influence product and engineering culture
• Have time for writing yourself
