Product Engineer

Trafford Park, Manchester

£35,000-£40,000 DOE

Monday to Friday, 44 hours per week.

Your Role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our prestigious bodybuilder brand as a Product Engineer at our factory in Manchester. If you are fully qualified in your profession and want to work for a company with over 35 years of industry experience, this role is for you.

As a Product Engineer, you will support the sales team by completing quotes quickly and efficiently. Your responsibilities include contacting suppliers, documenting quotes, writing quoting documents, and preparing order acknowledgements for customers. You will also engage in customer and sales calls to ensure clarity and up-to-date information.

Your role can add value by actively seeking ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness, thereby enhancing departmental operations and profitability.

This role is crucial to our business success. You will perform your duties to the highest standards, embodying our company values. While you will not have managerial responsibilities, you will take pride in your work and collaborate with others to ensure tasks are completed.

Day-to-day you will:

1. Complete sales quotes for customers and the sales team.
2. Maintain quotes from suppliers and manage supplier costing.
3. Create order acknowledgements for customers.
4. Track quote status and report on customer conversions.
5. Develop engineering-ready parts lists and specifications.
6. Coordinate with customers on product specifications.
7. Ensure clear communication from sales to engineering.
8. Sign off build documentation and specifications.
9. Perform other duties within your capability.
10. Manage product specifications within Engineering.
11. Control product matrix and high-value parts lists.

Training will be provided where needed, and we will support your development areas.

• Experience - Previous experience as a Sales Engineer, with knowledge of bill of materials and translating sold orders for manufacturing.
