About The Role

Bespak are looking for a Product Engineer for the Kings Lynn site, PE30 2JJ. The salary range for this permanent, onsite/hybrid role is between £37k to £45k plus a discretionary annual bonus. Our generous benefits package includes 28 days leave plus bank holidays, 8% company pension contribution to employees 3%, onsite parking and medical / dental / health / life assurance.

Working Pattern –Mon to Fri – Work 7.5 hours + 30 mins lunch break, between 8am and 5pm (8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm). We can be flexible and look at what works for you within the needs of the business. Hybrid working options available.

As a Product Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in industrialising drug device and third-party products, ensuring designs meet precise performance, quality, and manufacturing requirements. You'll lead technical support work packages, meticulously planning and monitoring progress to deliver products on time and within budget. This includes conducting design for manufacture (DFM) analyses and audits, maintaining product specifications, and leading engineering change activities throughout the product's lifecycle. Ultimately, you'll be key to ensuring product integrity and customer satisfaction.

As a Product Engineer your duties will include:

  • Support product industrialisation of drug devices.
  • Lead technical work packages and planning.
  • Monitor project progress, take corrective actions.
  • Perform DFM analysis and evaluate concepts.
  • Manage product specifications and design history.
  • Lead product engineering change activities.

Product Engineer, preferred key skills and experience:

  • Degree-level education in Engineering or Science discipline.
  • Experience within pharmaceutical or medical device sectors.
  • Proficient in medical device GMP and NPI processes.
  • Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
  • Applied knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication and project management capabilities.

We are a pharmaceutical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) that offers development and manufacturing solutions for a variety of medications, including medical devices such as pressurized metered dose inhalers (pMDI), soft mist inhalers (SMI), dry powder inhalers (DPI), nasal sprays and medical check valves.

This role could suit someone with experience as a Design, Manufacturing, Development, NPI, or Applications Engineer.
