Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd is seeking a Product Engineer for our Fareham electronics manufacturing site. The role focuses on supporting new product introductions, managing engineering changes, and improving manufacturing processes to deliver excellence.

You will collaborate with customers, production, quality, and engineering teams to drive technical solutions and ensure robust documentation and compliance across the business.

Are you an experienced Product Engineer looking to play a key role in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment?

We're seeking a proactive Product Engineer to support new product introductions, manage engineering changes, improve manufacturing processes, and provide technical support across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact while working closely with customers, production, quality, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and BOMs.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
• Manage engineering changes and customer design updates.
• Provide technical support to production teams.
• Investigate manufacturing issues and implement improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes.
• Support quality, compliance, and customer requirements.

About You

• Experience within an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proactive approach with a keen eye for detail.

Desirable

• Previous experience as a Product Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, or NPI Engineer.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
• Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma experience.
• Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent).
