Product Engineer

An excellent opportunity for a Product Engineer to join a global manufacturer. Reporting to the Product Manager, you will assist in the development of product specifications and the design of purpose-built tooling.

The Role

  • Leading the introduction of internally designed products into the business.
  • Developing ideas from concept through to manufacture by creating 3D CAD models.
  • Creating and modifying technical drawings and product specifications, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product costings to enable manufacture.
  • Selecting and sourcing appropriate third-party components to be used with designs.
  • Ensuring newly developed products comply with customer specifications, regulatory standards, and performance levels specified for safety, function, and reliability.
  • Aiding production in the development of jigs/fixtures to support the manufacture of newly designed products.
  • Participating in continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

The Person

  • Degree in an engineering-related subject, ideally mechanical.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
