Job Description

• Define and Drive Stablecoin Product Strategy: Develop and own the stablecoin product roadmap aligned with market needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives, ensuring competitive positioning in the evolving Web3 ecosystem.
• Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Lead efforts to interpret and implement requirements from the HKMA stablecoin consultation paper and other relevant regulations, embedding robust risk and compliance frameworks into product design and operations.
• Stakeholder Engagement with HKMA and Regulators: Serve as the primary liaison with HKMA and other regulatory bodies, maintaining ongoing communication to ensure product compliance and anticipate regulatory changes.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with engineering, legal, compliance, finance, and marketing teams to deliver compliant, scalable, and user-centric stablecoin solutions.
• Market and Customer Insights: Conduct market research and engage with key customers and partners to identify use cases, drive adoption, and refine product features based on real-world needs.
• Product Performance and Growth: Monitor product metrics, user feedback, and ecosystem developments to continuously optimize stablecoin offerings and accelerate growth in target markets.

The Successful Applicant

• Experience with HKMA and Regulatory Frameworks: Demonstrated familiarity with the HKMA stablecoin consultation paper and prior experience working closely with HKMA or similar financial regulators on stablecoin or digital asset products.
• Product Management Expertise: Minimum 7+ years in product management roles, with at least 3 years focused on stablecoins, digital assets, or blockchain-based financial products.
• Strong Knowledge of Stablecoin Ecosystem: Deep understanding of stablecoin design, issuance, redemption, and underlying blockchain protocols, as well as DeFi and crypto market dynamics.
• Risk and Compliance Acumen: Proven ability to integrate regulatory compliance and risk controls into product development, ensuring adherence to legal and financial standards.
• Technical and Analytical Skills: Ability to work with engineering teams on technical specifications, APIs, and product architecture; strong data-driven decision-making capabilities.
• Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication skills in English (and preferably Cantonese or Mandarin), with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing external partnerships; willingness to travel for regulatory and partner engagements.
