Summary

As Product Director at IOE, you will lead the transformation of our product management practice, developing a high-performing team and ensuring that all products fit together cohesively to deliver a unified ecosystem. You will mentor the product management team in developing the product vision, strategy, and roadmaps while ensuring harmonisation across products. Your role will involve gathering community feedback to inform product direction, aligning emerging opportunities with market needs. You will report to the General Manager of IOE, providing regular updates on milestones and progress toward strategic objectives. Additionally, you will be tasked with crafting a robust strategy around IOE's role in the vertical, leveraging both existing products and new opportunities within the ecosystem.

Duties


Mentor and build a high performance team

  • Mentor and build a high-performance product management team. Guide Product Managers in delivering outcomes that provide sustainable value and ensure alignment between individual products and broader business goals
  • Make informed, analytical decisions to prioritise initiatives, ensuring the team focuses on the most impactful projects
  • Coach Product teams in setting and analysing product objectives, continuously evaluating performance and making improvements as needed
  • Drives strategic projects and initiatives in the business
  • Lead, drive, and provide direction to the product managers to ensure their success and professional development through ongoing learning and development
  • Encourage a culture where great ideas are heard, evaluated, and invested in


Global Product Strategy & Management

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align the global product vision and strategy. Ensure that all products fit together harmoniously, creating a cohesive ecosystem
  • Manage product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical execution, incorporating insights from market research, customer feedback, and internal stakeholders
  • Execute roadmap strategies and bringing valuable, highly differentiated and elegantly designed capabilities to market


Customer Support

  • Engage with customers, partners, and community stakeholders to ensure their needs are reflected in product roadmaps and updates
  • Conduct market research, surveys and customer/prospect visits to understand and specify requirements for target markets
  • Leverage customer input to refine and quantify the potential of new product opportunities


Product Marketing, PR and Business Intelligence

  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to understand community and industry needs, positioning products effectively in the market
  • Monitor competitive offerings, staying ahead of trends to ensure IOE products remain innovative and highly competitive
  • Engage with marketing and communications teams to inform users about product updates, ensuring smooth and transparent communication


Cross-discipline collaboration (Business development, Product management , Operations, Technical Architecture )

  • Managing the collection, description, analysis and prioritization of requests for new product functionality from customers, prospects, partners, sales, and market-driven forces
  • Working with operations to gain awareness of potential defects and prioritizing their resolution in the product release plan and roadmap
  • Working with Product Managers, Program Management & Engineering to ensure that features are delivered in the right sequence and meet business expectations in terms of quality, function and schedule.
  • Working with engineering and design teams to deliver a captivating, reliable, and easy to use experience with excellent UI
  • Providing support on product selection, presentations and pricing strategy
  • Collaborate closely with the technical architecture team to ensure alignment on system design, integration, and scalability, fostering efficient and scalable solutions across projects


Technical Product management contributions

  • Providing technical guidance in evaluating applications systems or evaluating requests for proposals
  • Working in an Agile Product Development process creating well thought-out and consumable user stories

Education / Experience

  • Extensive senior experience in product management with several years in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience on highly successful ventures in tough, competitive markets.
  • Product Management certification is a plus (CPM, AIPMM)
  • A background in distributed computing with at least 5 years of experience in blockchain or cryptocurrency technologies
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and leading highly technical engineering teams
  • Experience implementing processes to define metrics and measure the success of products that are launched
  • Experience working with software development and marketing teams, preferably in fintech
  • BSc/BA in a relevant field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
