As a Product Director at JPMorgan Chase within the Accelerator Program, you are the heart of this venture, focused on getting smart ideas into the hands of our customers. Job responsibilities:

  • Lead the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
  • Define partnership model, enablement procedures, and day-to-day operational management of the connected bank-to-bank payment schemes (e.g. SWIFT, SEPA, FPS, etc.) and relating clearing & settlement mechanisms (e.g. STEP2), in line with the firm's global expansion strategy, operational excellence, and security standards
  • Assist with commercial/ go-live functions such as new business approvals process, product reviews, policy and compliance checks for both product and complementary operational processes, market research, and go-to-market activities
  • Coach and mentor the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
  • Own product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
  • Monitor market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
  • Must have Bank to Bank payments experience
  • Extensive and in-depth knowledge in direct enablement of domestic (e.g. SEPA, FPS, Bacs, etc) and cross-border payment schemes
  • Experience with platform/ API products and related system design concepts in order to help translate the needs and requirements of the customers into well-designed services
  • Familiar with additional rigour around regulatory and audit requirements (e.g. financial crime monitoring) that banks are subjected to
  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Recognized thought leader within a related field
  • Hands-on knowledge of financial messaging e.g. SWIFT MTxxx, ISO20022
  • Experience working with directly with clearing and settlement mechanisms (CSMs) and transaction banking industry qualifications e.g. ACT / ICM, SWIFT, etc.
  • Knowledge of the external transaction banking landscape, key players (inc. banks, PSPs, fintech, vendors), legislative environment (Open Banking, PSD2/3 etc)
