Job summary

Haleon in Weybridge is offering a 12-month Product Development Scientist Industrial Placement starting June 2027. You will work with an experienced team within the oral health category to reach your full potential.

Responsibilities include collaborating across formulation, analytical chemistry, and microbiology; designing experiments; analyzing data; and contributing to future brand innovations within a Stage-Gate framework.

Qualifications

• Applicants from STEM degree disciplines are welcome, with chemistry/pharmaceutical science backgrounds advantageous.
• Undergraduate degree holders should be in 2nd year (England) or 3rd year (Scotland) or pursuing an Integrated Masters with a year in industry.
• Role is a year-in-industry placement aligned with university programmes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across functional disciplines such as formulation development, analytical, microbiology, and engineering to build project programs.
• Design and execute experiments to characterize products and raw materials for formulation development.
• Analyze data to draw conclusions and progress projects within agreed timelines and high scientific standards.
