Job description

Product Development Officer - NCPP - Counter Terrorism Policing HQ

Salary: The starting salary is £45,131, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.

The salary is broken down as £42,203 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £47,668. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Location: Across London/Hybrid Working

NaCTSO is a unit within CTPHQ (National Counter Terrorism Police Headquarters). NaCTSO works with government departments and key partners to protect the UK against terrorism. We do so by producing free guidance and awareness products for the public and business community.

Join a unit at the heart of keeping the country safe. As part of our small, specialist team, you’ll be developing, producing and evaluating national protective security awareness products. You will take a leadership role within the team, managing projects as you collate ideas, share advice and design awareness packages. You will also champion evidence-based practice. Due to the varied nature of our work, which requires interaction with many teams across NaCTSO, you will develop a unique set of skills and knowledge about numerous aspects of counter terrorism protective security.

This is a demanding role where excellent design, proofreading, communication and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to create stimulating digital graphics, all whilst meeting tight and conflicting deadlines. You will need to be creative, innovative and proactive. Familiarity with visual design methodologies and applications, and creating web-based products is highly desirable.

A protective security background is not required nor is experience creating training packages,but you will need to be expert at designing impactful content and articulating ideas clearly.
