    • Occasional travel to events and conferences (2-3 per quarter)

About the Role
As a Product Development Manager, you'll be responsible for:
  • Leading a portfolio of training product developments, ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery aligned with the organisation's quality and strategic goals.
  • Managing a small team (1-3 direct reports), supporting their development and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Driving product innovation, informed by customer research, market trends, and collaboration with the Instructor Network, Marketing, and Industry Partnerships teams.
  • Owning the end-to-end product lifecycle - from scoping and development through to maintenance, review, and quality assurance.
  • Maintaining a close eye on quality, ensuring every product meets internal standards and external regulatory requirements.


Skills / Experience Required

Essential:
  • Proven experience in product or project management (minimum 1-2 years), ideally in the education/training sector.
  • Excellent team leadership and performance management skills.
  • Strong communicator, comfortable collaborating across departments and engaging with external stakeholders like training providers.
  • Highly organised, with a strong grip on risk management, scheduling, and project delivery.
  • Analytical, with a good understanding of how to respond to market trends and customer feedback.
Desirable:
  • Experience working in an Awarding Organisation or similar regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of training provider networks, industry standards, or regulatory frameworks for education and assessment.
  • Familiarity with instructional design or blended learning methodologies.
  • Understanding of sectors such as agriculture, environment, and rural industries.
