Do you have a strong mechanical engineering background? Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes is recruiting for a Product Development Engineer in the Wimborne area. This is a great opportunity for someone with product development experience looking for a new position with a fast-growing, international business.

The Role:

The successful candidate will develop and test new products from concept to final stage.

Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:

1. Introduce new products through discovery, testing, and overall development phases.
2. Design and manufacture of product prototype parts, assemblies, tooling, fixtures, and jigs for assembly.
3. Create product assembly instructions.
4. Produce components and parts on time, within budget and adherence to quality systems.
5. Reporting and updating test results.
6. Supporting the development of new test methods.
7. Support the procurement of materials for prototyping and testing.
8. Work closely with other departments.

About you:

1. Mechanical background with strong practical skills.
2. Experience working in a test environment.
3. Background in assembly or product engineering.
4. Experience with hand tools.
5. Experience with manual machining (desirable).
6. Qualified in an engineering discipline.
