Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group’s Design & Projects team is seeking a Product Development Engineer to drive innovation across specialist products, new materials and manufacturing processes. This hands-on NPD role collaborates with Design, Sales, Manufacturing and R&D from concept to production and market launch.

You will lead projects, translate customer requirements into viable solutions, develop designs and test plans, and support industrialisation and scale‑up within a growing engineering

Qualifications

• Foundation Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years’ product development/NPD experience.
• Strong CAD capability.
• Experience with engineering drawings, mechanical testing and data analysis.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Experience in Aerospace is advantageous.

Responsibilities

This is a hands‑on NPD role, working closely with Design, Sales, Manufacturing and R&D to take products from initial concept through to production and market launch.

The Role

• Lead and support new product development projects from concept through to launch
• Research and introduce new materials, manufacturing processes and technologies

• Develop designs, technical documentation, cost models and test plans

About You

We’re looking for a curious, commercially minded engineer who enjoys taking ideas from concept into reality.

• A Foundation Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• 5+ years’ product development/NPD experience, ideally involving new materials
• Strong design and CAD capability
• Experience with engineering drawings, mechanical testing and data/statistical analysis
• Strong communication and project management skills
• Experience within Aerospace and knowledge of relevant standards would be advantageous
