About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and innovative Development Quality Engineer to join our Development Excellence team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of key APQP elements, including Requirements Management, Boundary Diagrams, Interface Analysis, QFD, DFMEA, DVP&R, PFMEA and Process Control Plans.
• Partner with design teams to define product architecture and system interfaces.
• Develop and cascade level-appropriate requirements across product hierarchies.
• Deliver actionable design/process improvements and validation activities to mitigate risk.
• Contribute to the concept, design, and analysis of complex components and systems.
• Collaborate across functional teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively across varied audiences.

What You’ll Bring

Required:

• Minimum 5 years of Design Engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Supplier Quality Development Engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in APQP tools and methodologies.
• Demonstrated analytical problem-solving and risk management capabilities.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to guide product concept development.
• Proven leadership in cross-functional project settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading and executing engineering projects end-to-end.

Additional Details

• Location: Peterlee or Desford/Leicester, UK
• Work Type: Onsite (mandatory 5 days/week)
• Travel: May be required up to 10%
