Job Title: Technical CAD/Product Development Engineer

Location: Birmingham
Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience

Working Hours:Monday to Thursday, 07.30 16.30/Friday, 07.30 to 12.30

Overview:

A new opportunity is available for a Technical CAD/Product Development Engineer to join a growing and forward-thinking engineering team. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and development of high-quality products, working closely with production teams to ensure designs are both practical and manufacturing-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new products using CAD software, with a focus on Autodesk Inventor.
• Create detailed technical drawings and specifications to support manufacturing.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are optimised for machining and fabrication.
• Maintain high standards of quality, precision, and efficiency in all technical work.
• Support product development throughout its lifecycle, from concept to final production.

Essential Requirements:

• Proficiency in CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
• Good knowledge of metals and machining processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across teams.
