A leading agriculture company in York is seeking a Chemist to develop new product formulations through research and collaboration with international teams. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemistry, at least 2 years of lab experience, and a strong emphasis on safety regulations.   • Evaluation of new raw materials for use in current formulations
  • Research of novel raw materials to include in new formualtions
  • Increasing company intellectual property through the patenting of novel formulations
  • Staying informed of new relevant literature and patent publications to apply that knowledge to developing new product

Profile

  • Degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in chemical laboratory.
  • Experience of working in an industrial chemical production facility is desirable.
  • Good IT and communication skills
  • High level of safety awareness and sound understanding of relevant regulations, e.g. COSHH, COMAH etc
  • Experience in formulation or inorganic chemistry would be a distinct advantage as would familiarity with ISO9001.
  • Knowledge of regulatory environments in to which new products will be placed
