A leading company in rail fastening systems is seeking a Product Development Apprentice to join their team. You will support the Development Laboratory and gain hands-on experience in machining and engineering while completing a Level 6 Manufacturing Engineer degree apprenticeship. This role requires a proactive candidate with a strong foundation in engineering principles and the ability to work in a team. The role offers a great opportunity to develop skills in problem-solving and technical service.
Pandrol Limited are looking for a Product Development Apprentice to complete a Level 6 Manufacturing Engineer degreeapprenticeship and join their team. The candidate will support the Pandrol PL FS Development Laboratory in all aspects of providing a technical service to the Pandrol Group of companies, including machining, welding and mechanical engineering solutions. The candidate will be working with the company’s portfolio of components to identify suitable solutions and meet the requirement of the customer and company needs.

Things to consider:
During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre based in Catcliffe, Sheffield, for a phased-block delivery over a 38-week period. After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.

Candidates with an HND or Foundation Degree or who have completed the second year of a degree in a relevant subject can be assessed for direct entry onto the 2nd or 3rd year of the programme (BEng top-up), but 1st year entry or an alternative pathway may still be recommended.
Candidates who have not studied in the UK can submit transcripts for qualifications equivalent to level 3 which the admissions panel will review and may be taken in lieu of the specified qualifications.
Applicants are also required to successfully complete the AMRC Training Centre and employer recruitment and selection process to secure a place on an apprenticeship programme.
