Roles and Responsibilities
- Updating the critical path and product system with all updates from initial product development to final seal.
- Maintain and take responsibility for the sampling critical path ensuring timely sample submissions, with approvals made from 1st sample to final sealed sample.
- Follow up on all fabric submissions, colours, strike offs and samples within the development time frames and critical launch dates.
- Manage outgoing and incoming packages to and from vendors, as well as distribute/get all packages ready for internal review.
- Ensure all samples are properly labelled with correct hangtags and product detail.
- Supporting the product developer with responding to all supplier queries.
- Collating all information from suppliers from initial costs prices, weight fabric compositions and all product date required from the factory for product set up.
- Responsible for receiving all production samples and working closely with the GT team to check and require all samples before handed over for approval.
- Fabric management :
- Obtaining all fabric prices, dating all hangers and organising all swatches received.
- Keeping the fabric library organised and maintained.
- Chasing all fabric approvals, colour approvals and print approvals.
- Following up all fabric test reports and validation of all fabric test reports to ensure that these are reviewed / approved and filed away.
Requirements
- Chinese speaking is essential and must be confident communicating in the language across multiple channels (WeChat, Microsoft Teams, etc).
- Experience working with a fast-paced fashion environment.
- Experience working within product development, preferably within occasionwear.
- Knowledge of fabrics, costings, design construction, CP management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with experience in liaising with suppliers in Asia (China, India etc).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly excel.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Confident, assertive, and proactive, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with people at all levels.
- You will be determined to go the extra mile to achieve results.
- Ability to work individually as well as part of the team.
