Product Developer

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive team member to join our dynamic product development team. This role involves a blend of technical skills, strong communication, and efficient project management to help ensure that our product development process runs smoothly from concept to completion. You'll collaborate closely with designers, suppliers, and internal teams to bring our designs to life on time and to the highest standards.

Position Overview

Technical Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive tech packs using Excel, pulling in visuals from Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as needed.
• Review and set up print artworks from graphic designers, ensuring all artwork is accurate before sending to international suppliers.
• Coordinate with suppliers to send tech packs and organize SMS (Salesman Samples) and PP (Pre-Production) samples, ensuring timely submission for range review.
• Participate in design meetings with head designers and the creative director to discuss and refine product details.

Data Management & Follow-Ups

• Update and maintain GRID / CAD systems with details for all new developments.
• Enter new styles and relevant details into the production schedule.
• Ensure the timely updating of systems with any changes to the production schedule.

Communication & Coordination

• Communicate regularly with suppliers via email, providing feedback on fit, fabric, strike-off, handlooms, dips, trims, etc.
• Manage daily communication with overseas suppliers, addressing product development and production approval comments.
• Track and maintain an overview of all products, including sample timelines (SMS, PP, print strike-off, lab dips, etc.).
• Prepare and deliver sales man samples (SMS) to the Sales / Marketing team for photoshoots.

Time Management & Problem-Solving

Demonstrate strong organisational skills, prioritise tasks effectively, and troubleshoot issues to ensure deadlines are met.

Technical Proficiency

Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel is essential.

Pressure Management

Work efficiently under pressure, taking ownership of tasks to prevent delays in the critical path.

Multitasking

Handle multiple tasks with ease and precision in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to Detail

Ensure that all artworks, tech packs, and purchase orders are thoroughly checked before sending to suppliers to avoid errors.

Foster a positive and cooperative team environment, assisting colleagues when possible.

Take initiative to ensure tasks such as sending POs or sample feedback are completed promptly to keep production moving forward.
