Role Overview:

We’re looking for a Product Designer to be a key player in our design team. You’ll work closely with a Product Manager and Tech Lead during the discovery phase to shape solutions and bring them to life through exceptional design execution. As a member of the “holy trinity,” you’ll play an integral part in both the ideation and delivery phases. This is an exciting opportunity for a designer who is passionate about creating beautiful, user-centric experiences that align with business objectives.

What You’ll Be Doing:

User Journey Mapping & Prototyping:

• Produce user journey maps, user flows, and prototypes to visualise user experiences and interaction patterns.
• Participate in user research interviews to gather insights that will guide design decisions.

Design System Contribution:

• Contribute to and help maintain our Design System, ensuring it aligns with Kato’s brand guidelines and provides consistency across all platforms.

UI Consistency & Excellence:

• Uphold a high standard of user experience, ensuring a seamless, intuitive interface across the entire product.
• Help maintain UI consistency and polish throughout the application.

Visually Stunning UI Creation:

• Create unique, visually stunning UI elements that delight users and enhance usability.

Acceptance Testing:

• Perform Acceptance Testing for frontend changes to ensure they meet design specifications and maintain quality.

What Success Looks Like to Us:

Design Impact: You’ll help shape exceptional user experiences by designing intuitive and aesthetically pleasing solutions that support both user and business needs.

Design Process: Your work will reflect a solid understanding of design thinking, user-centered design, and your ability to solve complex design problems creatively.

Autonomy & Execution: You’ll have the autonomy to lead design projects from conception to execution, ensuring each design solution is aligned with the overall product vision.

User-Centric Approach: By participating in user research and continuous testing, you’ll ensure that user feedback is incorporated into every stage of the design process.

Visual Design Excellence: You’ll create and maintain high-quality, visually engaging designs that elevate the overall user experience.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience and has experience working in startups/scaleups.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking, process, and outcomes for both UX and UI design - Please make sure you can share a portfolio of work at the application stage.
• Keen attention to detail and a passion for creating intuitive, user-friendly experiences.
• Comfort with working on a wide range of projects, from ambiguous to well-defined, simple to complex.
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments, delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work with autonomy and take ownership of design projects.
• Strong communication skills – you can clearly articulate design decisions to stakeholders and team members.
