The Kantata Cloud for Professional Services is helping over 2,000 firms in more than 100 countries focus on and optimize their most important asset: their people. Kantata is well-capitalized, hiring, and growing our loyal and diversified customer base faster than we ever have. Most importantly, we have a clear vision of where we’re going and how to get there. (Hint: It involves...)

The Opportunity: Kantata is seeking a Product Designer to play a key role in the Kantata SX Product Management team. This team is responsible for managing the roadmap of change for the SX product portfolio, including analyzing new requirements, preparing high-level user stories, and delivering value assessments to drive prioritization. This role requires collaboration with product managers, content design, and engineering teams to design application pages, workflows, and content for new features, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for ensuring the design is innovative, on-brand, and user-friendly. You will liaise with product teams to ensure designs are complete, accessible, and easy to follow, taking a lead on application page and workflow design during the product development cycle, ensuring consistency and clarity, and contributing to process improvements. We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Designer with a background in enterprise SaaS solutions, passionate about technology, and eager to engage deeply with customers and stakeholders to deliver results and foster innovation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. User Research & Personas: Conduct interviews, surveys, and usability tests to inform design decisions.
  2. Wireframing & Prototyping: Use tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD to create wireframes and interactive prototypes.
  3. User Roles & Permissions: Design experiences reflecting complex access control and role-based interfaces.
  4. Front-End Understanding and UX/UI Design: Create pages and workflows that balance visual appeal and usability across enterprise features.
  5. Visual Design: Apply typography, color theory, layout, and branding to structure complex features intuitively and scalably.
  6. Design Systems: Create and maintain scalable design systems for consistency across products.
  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with PMs, engineers, QA, and marketing to align on product vision and execution.
  8. Customization vs. Configurability: Balance user-level customization with system-wide configuration for flexibility and scalability.
  9. Scalability Mindset: Design systems to support large, global organizations with complex hierarchies.
  10. Storytelling: Communicate design decisions using metrics, user feedback, and stakeholder narratives.

Why this role may be for you:

  • Motivated by challenges, passionate about innovative design
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong communicator, enjoys cross-team collaboration
  • Responsible, results-driven individual

Why this role may not be for you:

  • Prefer simple products and projects
  • Struggle with multitasking or managing multiple projects
  • Wait for instructions rather than taking initiative

Requirements:

  • Strong creative and design skills to translate complex requirements into effective designs
  • Ability to tell compelling stories and explain design concepts clearly
  • Understanding of software usability, functionality, and benefits
  • Quick learner of new technologies and concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional Services domain knowledge and experience with Salesforce and PSA systems
