Job description

The Challenge

Obesity has become a global epidemic; in the UK, we spend £9 billion a year alone on diseases like type 2 diabetes (that’s 10% of the NHS budget). What’s shocking is most of this is preventable – through sustained lifestyle and habit change.

Enter Second Nature...

We’re here to help people take control of their health. By bringing together the latest behavioural science, psychology, technology, and the talents of our incredible team, our mission is to eradicate the global epidemic of chronic lifestyle diseases once and for all.

Our habit-change programme – delivered digitally through mobile and web apps – helps people transform their lifestyle, lose weight, and ultimately reduce their risk for serious conditions such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

About Us
  • We've positively changed the lives of over 250,000 people
  • We're rated 'Excellent' by over 7k of our members on Trustpilot
  • We're growing rapidly & are now a profitable business
  • We’re one of the few consumer health brands that are commissioned by the NHS and leading health insurer, Vitality Health
  • We're a leading B2C provider of GLP-1 medication-assisted weight loss programmes and 1 of 5 NICE-approved providers to deliver these services within the NHS in the future
  • Our team members stay with us for an average of 4.3 years
The Role

We’re looking for a Product Designer who can create exceptional multi-channel user experiences and is passionate about making a positive difference in the world.

You'll be a key part of our growing Product team, working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to design experiences that drive user engagement and business growth.

What You’ll Do
  • Work on the end-to-end design process, from discovery to high-fidelity designs
  • Conduct user research and translate insights into user-friendly designs
  • Design and iterate on web and mobile experiences, ensuring consistency and usability
  • Support the evolution of our Design System in collaboration with Engineering
  • Work closely with Product Managers to shape product roadmaps and initiatives
  • Contribute to the company’s Brand Guidelines and ensure visual consistency across products
  • Present and communicate design decisions to stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
  • 2-3+ years of Product Design experience
  • Strong portfolio showcasing work on digital products (web & mobile)

  • Strong visual design and interaction design skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Product and Engineering teams
  • Comfortable conducting and applying user research findings
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail
  • Passion for health tech and making a meaningful impact
Nice to Have
  • Experience working on growth-driven design (e.g., optimising conversion rates)
  • Experience in healthcare, wellness, or consumer tech
Benefits
  • Competitive salary, share options, and bi-annual performance reviews
  • Hybrid working: 1-2 days/week in our West London office, the rest remote
  • Remote working flexibility: up to 4 weeks at a time within a 2-hour UK time zone
  • 25 days of holiday plus national holidays
  • Quarterly company meetups and socials
  • A team of intelligent, friendly, and highly motivated individuals
  • £200/year professional development budget
