About the Role:
As a Product Design Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Design and Technology (D&T) department. You will be responsible for preparing materials and resources, maintaining tools and equipment, and assisting both students and teachers in practical lessons focused on product design. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in workshop environments, CAD/CAM, or design engineering who enjoys working in an educational setting.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for D&T lessons
• Assisting students during practical work, always ensuring health and safety
• Maintaining and organising tools, machinery, and workspaces
• Supporting teachers with the delivery of high-quality lessons
• Contributing to the department’s planning and resource development

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience in a similar role or a strong background in product design, engineering, or manufacturing
• Knowledge of working with tools, machinery (e.g., saws, drills, 3D printers), and CAD/CAM software
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• A commitment to maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment
• A proactive and supportive attitude
