Product Design Engineer (Solidworks)
£35,000 - £45,000 + Mon - Fri + Progression + Training + Benefits

Are you a Product Design Engineer or similar with a background knowledge of Solidworks and looking for a step into Project Management? Are you looking to work for a growing healthcare company that make a real difference to peoples lives, who offer routes to progress and the ability to work on a variety of fast-moving projects?

On offer is the opportunity to join a leading medical equipment manufacturer and supplier, who are undertaking a massive period of growth having recently acquired another business. The company provide medical mobility equipment for both domestic and commercial clients, these include stairlifts, hoists, slings and other crucial devices. Due to the nature of the business, taking care of their employees and nurturing their development is the key to their growth and long term business strategy.

This varied role, will see you responsible for the design and drawing of key products and components in both 2D and 3D using Solidworks, you will complete new design concepts, focus on continuous improvement of existing products and be developed in the project management aspect of the lifecycle, including bill of materials, costings and rebranding. You will attend ECR meetings and documents, produce technical files and support on all product queries.

This role would suit a Product Design Engineer or similar that is looking for a new challenge, by stepping into a projects based design role with a leading healthcare company, who make a real difference to the community and give you opportunities to progress into senior positions.

The Role:



  • Project Management of Existing and New Product Design

  • Design using Solidworks and AutoCAD of Products and Components

  • Continuous Improvement

  • BOM's, Costings and Supplier Management

  • Mon - Thurs (84:30PM), 1:30PM finish on Friday


The Person:



  • Product Design Engineer or similar

  • Solidworks background

  • Looking for a new challenge by running Projects

  • Commutable to Rhyl
