Job summary

WTW's Willis Neuron product team seeks an accomplished Product Delivery Lead to own the delivery of Risk & Analytics features within Willis Neuron. You will drive a multi-location delivery team including BAs, UX designers, developers and QA, coordinating with business stakeholders and ensuring governance and value delivery.

You will actively use AI tooling to shape requirements, write stories, report progress and accelerate delivery, while aligning with strategic architecture and security

Responsibilities

Description

An accomplished Product Delivery Lead is required to join the Willis Neuron product team. You will own delivery of a set of Risk & Analytics features within Willis Neuron, part of a broader portfolio of strategic technology delivery across the group. You will work with broking teams, actuaries and other stakeholders to deliver change involving significant data, analytics, climate and externally facing technology components.

An accomplished Product Delivery Lead is required to join the Willis Neuron product team. You will own delivery of a set of Risk & Analytics features within Willis Neuron, part of a broader portfolio of strategic technology delivery across the group. You will work with broking teams, actuaries and other stakeholders to deliver change involving significant data, analytics, climate and externally facing technology components. We are looking for a team member to bring expertise in all areas of product management, from supporting the early development of opportunities through to delivery. This is a delivery focused hands-on role; you will need to pay attention to detail and be able to liaise with key business stakeholders whilst leading a multi-location delivery team including Business Analysts, UX Designers, Software Developers and Quality Assurance Analysts. You will also be an active user of AI tooling yourself, applying AI assistants to your own product and delivery work and helping the team get the most from AI agent-led development.

The successful applicant will work with the Risk & Analytics and Data Programme Manager and report to the overall R&A & Data leader. Hybrid working fully supported ideally with 1-2 days per week in the London or Ipswich office. Occasional travel will be required as well as the possibility of overseas travel to support engagement with business and technology stakeholders.

The Role

• Own the delivery roadmap for a number of R&A features within Willis Neuron, translating business strategy and stakeholder priorities into a sequenced, deliverable plan.
• Own and maintain the product backlog, support writing clear outcome-focused user stories and acceptance criteria, and prioritising ruthlessly by value, risk and dependency.
• Act as the decision-making point between business stakeholders and the delivery team, resolving scope, requirements and trade-off questions at pace.
• Lead a multi-location delivery team of Business Analysts, UX Designers, Software Developers and Quality Assurance Analysts, providing clear structure, direction and prioritisation.
• Engage proactively with broking, actuarial and technology stakeholders across the full solution delivery lifecycle, from shaping early opportunities through discovery, delivery and adoption.
• Define and track the success measures for the features you own, using delivery and usage data to steer subsequent iterations and demonstrate value realised.
• Run agile delivery day to day, including estimation, sprint and release planning and forecasting, whilst meeting the governance expectations of the Project Delivery Framework and maintaining the artefacts it requires.
• Use AI tooling and assistants (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, Claude) in your own day-to-day work, to accelerate requirements shaping, user story drafting, analysis, reporting and stakeholder communication.
• Champion the team's adoption of AI-assisted and agent-led delivery, adapting planning, estimation, quality and governance practices as delivery pace and shape change.
• Stay aware of AI and wider technology trends, assess what they mean for our products and delivery approach, and bring the credible ideas into the roadmap.
• Manage, resolve and elevate risks, issues and dependencies clearly and early.
• Ensure proposed solutions meet stakeholder needs whilst complying with WTW Group strategic architecture, security and compliance guidelines.
• Produce regular, concise and accurate progress reporting for the Programme Manager, the R&A & Data leader and senior stakeholders.
• Ensure delivered features are fully transitioned to Service Management and supported through their lifecycle.
• Work with fellow Product Delivery Leads and Product Managers to continuously improve our product and delivery management standards.

Qualifications

Essential

• 5+ years delivering software products in an agile environment, in a product delivery lead, product owner or product manager capacity.
• Hands-on personal use of AI assistants in a professional setting, with good judgement on where they add value and where their output must be validated.
• Innovative and curious, willing to research and develop personal and team knowledge and skillsets, and to keep pace with fast-moving AI tooling and its impact on delivery.
• Experience of owning the full product lifecycle, from idea and business case through build and launch to hand-over to operational support.
• Demonstrable backlog ownership and prioritisation: shaping and quality-assuring user stories and acceptance criteria, and making trade-off decisions across scope, cost and time.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, reporting progress against agreed deliverables and highlighting or escalating issues and barriers to delivery.
• A good level of technical knowledge, sufficient to challenge solution options and understand delivery constraints.
• Ability to run several features or workstreams concurrently, working independently without close supervision as well as collaboratively, and making key decisions in line with group and programme strategy.
• Ability to engage with business and technology stakeholders at all levels, both on and off shore, and across various geographies and time zones.
• Experience of both agile and waterfall delivery methods, and an understanding of the appropriate application of each.

Desirable

• Previously worked in a financial services organisation, ideally insurance or insurance broking.
• Experience delivering data, analytics, climate or geospatial products.
• Product or delivery certification (e.g. Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe, Agile PM, APMP or PRINCE2).
• Experience facilitating requirements gathering with stakeholders and end users, and working with prototypes, mock-ups and wireframes as part of product development.
• Understanding of data-model diagrams and the ability to understand relational structures.
• GitHub, JIRA and Microsoft Azure DevOps knowledge.
• Experience working with a PMO to deliver agile products within corporate governance gate/checkpoint procedures, and of implementing process improvements.
