The Role

The Legal Team at Veeva is seeking a dynamic, business-minded lawyer to support our fast-growing data business, including Veeva Link, Veeva OpenData, and Business Consulting projects, primarily in the EU. The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, collaborating with executive and product teams, and supporting legal aspects of data products and customer relationships. The position is based in Europe, with frequent travel to Frankfurt, Germany.

What You’ll Do

1. Maintain global compliance programs for Veeva's data products.
2. Act as a liaison to customers regarding legal compliance.
3. Advise EU-based teams on legal matters.
4. Recommend policy and process improvements.
5. Research applicable laws and work with privacy teams.
6. Develop and oversee legal templates and contracts.
7. Provide legal oversight for new data products.
8. Support contracting in local markets.
9. Serve as a subject matter expert on data issues.
10. Negotiate vendor and partner relationships.

Requirements

• Law degree and active license.
• 4+ years relevant experience.
• Experience with data license agreements and contracts.
• Understanding of global data privacy and copyright laws.
• Experience supervising local counsel globally.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in English; German is a plus.

Nice to Have

• German language skills.
