Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Product Assurance Engineer to join the Product Assurance Engineering team, providing professional quality support to the Manufacturing team in the UK.

You will ensure independent visibility and assurance that manufacturing processes are correctly applied across all projects. Your role includes supporting and advising on all aspects of quality within UK Manufacturing, identifying and implementing sustainable process improvements, and reducing project risks related to process application, effectiveness, or compliance.

The Role:

What will you be doing as a Product Assurance Engineer?

1. Providing professional support and advice on quality within Manufacturing UK to support business excellence and customer satisfaction.
2. Delivering quality assurance assistance, including developing and delivering quality-related training.
3. Supporting manufacturing programs to meet cost, time, and quality targets by assessing and controlling quality processes.
4. Ensuring processes are correctly implemented and improved through audits and assessments, with reports and follow-up actions.
5. Collaborating with Quality Assurance colleagues to achieve Quality Objectives.
6. Working with managers to define risk reduction strategies and action plans.
7. Supporting the development of Process Effectiveness Review Programmes.
8. Interfacing with Customer Representatives to mitigate quality issues.
9. Using SAP for non-conformance management and identifying improvements.
10. Supporting Non-Conformance Review Panels and analyzing defect data for root cause analysis and corrective actions.

What are we looking for in our next Product Assurance Engineer?

• Minimum HNC/HND qualification in a relevant subject.
• Experience in process-based management systems and business improvement in an engineering or manufacturing environment, with tools like 8D, 5Y, PFMEA.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in Quality Auditing.
• Knowledge of EN9100/AS9100 standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to identify and implement sustainable business improvements.
• Understanding of customer and regulatory requirements, including AS9102.
• Self-motivated with persistence to deliver results.
