Job summary

The Compleat Food Group is seeking an experienced Product and Process Development Manager to join the NPD team based in Ebbw Vale. You will lead product development from concept through to launch, working with the product team to deliver customer briefs, innovation pipelines, and KPI-aligned outcomes.

Based at the Ebbw Vale site in South Wales, you will own end-to-end development, manage trial execution, and support the site NPD budget while applying deep knowledge of FMCG product launch

Responsibilities

• Lead product development projects from concept to launch, ensuring launch process is followed and critical paths are met.
• Work with the product team to deliver customer briefs and innovation pipelines with KPI alignment.
• Grow and maintain customer relationships and manage end-to-end development at site level.
• Gain understanding of soups, dips and sauces category, processes, and kit within the factory.
• Collaborate with Insight and Category teams to develop and deliver customer development and innovation pipelines.
• Oversee trial execution led by the process team and support site NPD budget delivery.
• Facilitate feasibility presentations and escalate appropriately when needed.

Job description

To lead product development projects from concept to launch, ensuring launch process is followed, critical paths are adhered to, product quality standards are met and development in in line with company objectives and commercial targets. Your Duties Will Include:

• Work with the product team to deliver customer briefs and innovation pipelines ensuring all KPIs are delivered in line with critical path dates.
• Growing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Managing the full end to end development function at site level.
• Gain and maintain an in-depth understanding of the soups, dips and sauces category area, processes and kit within the factory.
• Work closely with Insight and Category teams applying food knowledge to develop and deliver the customer development and innovation pipeline.
• Keep up to date with market trends and competitor knowledge
• Manage projects, leading workstreams between site and central functions.
• Own New and Existing Product Development process delivery at site, overseeing handover and launch success
• Oversee trial execution led by the process team
