Who we are looking for

A Product Analytics Engineer, who will play a pivotal role in transforming our Sportsbook product through data-driven insights.

With over 100 million users, and tens of millions of bets processed daily, your expertise will help us to optimise user experiences and drive innovation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers and Software Engineers, to design and implement scalable data solutions that enhance our understanding of user behaviour and product performance.

In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to work with vast datasets, ensuring that our analytic capabilities are robust and insightful. Your contributions will directly impact our strategic decisions and help us to maintain our position as a leader in the online gambling industry.

Preferred skills and experience

  • Proven experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, preferably in a high-transaction environment.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing solutions such as BigQuery and Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in data modelling and transformation tools such as Data Build Tool (DBT).
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Looker and Tableau.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with event tracking and analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Tag Manager.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • Passion for sports and an understanding of the gambling industry is desirable.

Main Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing scalable data models for the Sportsbook product.
  • Collaborating with Product Managers to define success metrics and data requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines to ensure accurate and timely insights.
  • Conducting data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for product enhancement.
  • Creating and managing dashboards and visualisations for stakeholders.
  • Ensuring data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation.
  • Working with engineering teams to implement event tracking and instrumentation.
  • Supporting A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to evaluate product changes.
  • Documenting data processes, models and best practices for team reference.
  • Staying up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
