Job summary

Meta is hiring a Data Engineer for Product Analytics to own data architectures and build scalable data artifacts that support multiple products across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and more.

You will collaborate with software engineers, data scientists and product managers to translate data needs into robust pipelines and dashboards, promoting data-driven decision making at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of data experience across analytics, engineering, or data science.
• 4+ years with SQL, ETL, data modeling and at least one programming language.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and own data architecture for large-scale projects.
• Improve logging data and triage data infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs and data scientists to define data needs.
• Define and manage SLAs for data sets in ownership.
• Implement security models per privacy requirements and ensure governance.
• Design and launch data models and visualizations for multiple use cases.
• Solve complex data integration using ETL patterns across sources.
• Own production processes and optimize code performance.
• Optimize pipelines, dashboards, and data artifacts for easier development.
• Influence teams to identify data opportunities and drive impact.
• Mentor team members with actionable feedback.
