Job summary

Meta in the United Kingdom is seeking a Data Engineer to help shape data solutions across our family of apps (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Reality Labs, Threads). You will design and build large-scale datasets to enable growth, user experiences, and business insights.

You will work with software engineers, data scientists and product managers to create scalable architectures, optimize pipelines, and ensure data quality and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 4+ years building data pipelines and data platforms.
• Experience with SQL, ETL, data modeling.
• Programming in Python, Scala, or similar.
• Strong communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own data architecture for large-scale projects.
• Improve logging data frameworks and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and data scientists.
• Define and manage SLAs for datasets.
• Implement privacy/compliance safeguards.
• Design data models and visualizations for multiple use cases.
• Optimize ETL pipelines and dashboards.
• Mentor team members.
