Job description

This position sits in our Marketing & Technology service based in London. We combine data, technology, creative content, and paid media to crack brands’ business problems & drive revenue through a variety of digital marketing solutions like ad campaigns, augmented reality, and chatbots. Our clients include eBay, Just Eat Takeaway, Pepsi and L’Oreal.

DEPT is seeking a highly organised and creatively driven Producer to lead the production of high-quality stills and video content for organic social media channels. This role requires an expert multitasker with a passion for creating compelling, always-on content across diverse industries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end production of agile social first shoots — from pre-production through to on-set and post-production — in collaboration with creative teams.
  • Manage a high volume of content production, typically delivering at least four shoots per month.
  • Source and book appropriate creative talent (e.g., photographers, videographers, editors, crew), locations, and studios to bring concepts to life.
  • Negotiate budgets and rates effectively while ensuring deliverables remain high quality and on-brand.
  • Ensure all shoot outputs are delivered with correct usage rights and aligned with channel-specific requirements.
  • Adapt quickly to evolving timelines, shifting priorities, and budget constraints while maintaining a calm, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Continuously seek out ways to improve workflow, cost efficiency, and quality across production processes.
  • Supervise post-production, including editing, retouching, and final delivery of assets.
  • Maintain organised records for contracts, usage rights, contributor agreements, and project documentation.

WHO YOU ARE

  • A natural organiser with experience producing both stills and video content, ideally within an agency or content-driven environment.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and timelines simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident in client-facing situations

SKILLS & PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Some hands-on production experience in an agency, production company, or in-house content team (e.g., as a Production Assistant, Production Coordinator, or Junior Producer).
  • Familiarity with the production of social-first content and digital campaigns.
  • Good understanding of the basics of line production, budgeting, scheduling, and shoot logistics.
  • Some experience in managing freelance talent
  • Awareness of best practices in video and photography production, with willingness to learn industry standards (e.g., APA guidelines).
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-first mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, creative team environment.

WE OFFER

  • A flexible, hybrid working policy
  • The choice of medical healthcare providers (Bupa or Medicash)
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off each year
  • Company pension scheme
  • Ride to work scheme
  • Enhanced family friendly policies
  • Buddy Program: You will be paired with a ‘Buddy’ to help you through your first weeks’ at DEPT.
  • A reputation for doing good. DEPT has been a Certified B Corp since 2021 and named ‘Agency of the Year’ at both The Lovies and The Webby Awards.
  • Awesome clients. Whether big or small, local or global — at DEPT you’ll get the opportunity to work with clients of all sizes and across all industries. And we celebrate all of our successes together!
  • The opportunity for possibility. We want to enable you to do what you do best and help you develop your skills further with training, development and certifications.
  • Global annual DEPT Cares Month in which employees come together and donate their skills to support local charities.
