Job Description:

We are seeking a Procurement Transformation Lead to join one of the world's largest and most respected consultancies. The firm is renowned for expertise in Customer Experience and Digital, Strategy, Forensic, Risk and Regulatory, People and Talent, and Operational and Financial Transformation.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop procurement knowledge and skills within UK central government and the wider public sector through a large-scale training and development program aligned with upcoming legislation and regulations.

You will also have the chance to work on procurement transformation projects and learning programs, managing projects and leading diverse teams supported by subcontractors and client staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating engaging online training events to enhance technical understanding and achieve learning outcomes.
  • Leading delivery of an 'Advanced Course of Deep Dives' for procurement practitioners across government sectors, focusing on the 'how' of the new public procurement regime.
  • Equipping learners with the knowledge and skills to operate confidently under the new regulations, ensuring effective procurement practices that deliver value for taxpayers.
  • Contributing subject-matter expertise to develop procurement training content and engaging with participants through discussions and Q&A sessions.
  • Applying pedagogical expertise to create positive, learner-focused online experiences.
  • Providing detailed knowledge of procurement processes, including category management, strategic sourcing, contract management, supply relationship management, P2P, and supplier risk management.
  • Leading procurement capability initiatives within the public sector.
  • Understanding the end-to-end procurement lifecycle and relevant policies, including the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and upcoming legislation.
  • Designing and implementing procurement operating model changes to adapt to new legislation.
  • Possessing knowledge of specific regulations such as the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011 and Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016.
  • Managing complex cost reduction programs using advanced analytics techniques.
  • Having category knowledge across direct and indirect spend areas.
  • Experience with change management in complex, multi-geo public sector environments.
  • Membership in a professional body such as CIPS is desirable.
  • Knowledge of current procurement technology trends and providers like Jaggaer, Oracle, Atamis, SAP/Ariba, and Coupa.
