Job Description:

A well-established manufacturing organisation is actively seeking an experienced Procurement Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis in Hemel Hempstead. The company offers a salary of up to £50,000.

The Procurement Team Leader will lead the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and components vital for production.

Role responsibilities of the Procurement Team Leader include:

  • Managing supplier relationships through regular performance reviews, audits, and site visits
  • Overseeing inventory held by third-party suppliers
  • Conducting spend analysis and proactively collaborating with supply chain partners
  • Leading and managing the procurement team on a daily basis
  • Monitoring and controlling freight and shipping costs within the UK, EU, and beyond
  • Managing project-based purchasing activities
  • Driving process improvements aligned with business objectives
  • Overseeing stock levels of repeat order items via MRP systems

  • Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within a fast paced environment
