Job Responsibilities:
- Drive purchasing & supply chain strategies to optimise efficiency and minimise costs, including effective negotiating, building relationships with key suppliers, and analyzing data.
- Manage the purchasing process, including buying, supplying, and distribution. Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products at competitive prices.
- Monitor inventory levels and develop inventory management strategies to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
- Forecast demand for products and services.
- Control and improve transport costs.
- Handle import and export documentation, staying updated with regulations post-Brexit.
- Research to identify the best products and suppliers based on value, delivery, and quality.
- Analyze and report on supply chain performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
The Successful Candidate:
- At least 5 years' experience managing the Supply Chain in the FMCG industry.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred.
- Strategically minded with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for building relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Experience working with international suppliers.
- Strong numeracy skills and experience with process automation.
