Job summary

Alpine Racing Limited is offering a 12-month Purchasing Student Placement in Enstone, starting July 2027. You will support the Purchasing Team with sourcing components and services, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring on-time delivery to meet project deadlines within a Formula One environment.

Applicants should be penultimate-year students in Business, Supply Chain, or related fields, possess strong organisational and communication skills, and have a good command of Excel.

• Currently studying a degree in Business or related discipline and seeking an industry placement in penultimate year
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Confident communicator able to build relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for motorsport and a collaborative mindset
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available
• Onsite attendance for assessment centre in September

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing and procurement of components, materials, and services across the business
• Raise purchase orders and maintain procurement records in company systems
• Liaise with suppliers for quotations, lead times, and delivery updates
• Support supplier performance monitoring to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets
• Assist with cost analysis and reporting to support purchasing decisions
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to understand requirements and ensure timely component delivery
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Purchasing and Supply Chain
• Help manage supplier communications and maintain strong working relationships

We are a high-performance Formula One Team driven by innovation, precision, and passion.Our Purchasing department plays a vital role in ensuring the team has the materials, components, and servicesrequiredto develop and race a world-class Formula One car. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers, the team helps deliver innovative solutions at pace while balancing cost, quality, and performance. As a Purchasing Student Placement,you’llgain hands-on experience within a fast-paced motorsport environment, supporting the procurement activities that keep our car development and operations moving forward.

The Role

During your placement,you’llsupport the Purchasing Team in sourcing components and services, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring parts are delivered on time to meet demanding project and racing deadlines.You’llwork closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, gaining exposure to the full procurement process within a Formula One environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the sourcing and procurement of components, materials, and services across the business
• Assistwith raising purchase orders andmaintainingaccurateprocurement records within company systems
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, lead times, and delivery updates

**WhatWe’reLooking For**

• Currently studying a degree inBusiness, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Motorsport, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strongproficiencyin Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for motorsport and a proactive, collaborative mindset
• You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role
• Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September
