Job summary

Tesco UK is seeking a Procurement Strategy & Delivery Manager to drive the Sourcing & Procurement strategy through effective project delivery, governance, stakeholder engagement and business transformation.

You will work with Procurement category teams, the Leadership Team and cross-functional partners to deliver savings, category strategy, and technology-enabled transformation across the function.

• Facilitate workshops and cross-functional alignment across Procurement, Technology, Finance and Legal
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, training, and change management

Job description

Reporting to the Lead Procurement Strategy & Transformation Manager, the Procurement Strategy & Delivery Manager plays a key role in delivering the Sourcing & Procurement strategy through effective project delivery, governance, stakeholder engagement and business transformation.

Working closely with Procurement category teams, the Procurement Leadership Team and cross-functional partners, you will lead and support strategic initiatives that improve performance, capability and business value. This could include driving our savings/value delivery programme, supporting category strategy development, implementing procurement technology solutions, and delivering process and capability improvements across the function.

• Lead the delivery of strategic procurement initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and with measurable business outcomes.
• Partner with Procurement category teams to support key priorities, including savings delivery, benefit realisation and category strategy execution.
• Drive the implementation, optimisation and adoption of procurement technology and digital solutions, such as sourcing, contract management, projects and analytics tools.
• Establish and maintain governance, reporting and performance tracking to provide clear visibility of progress, risks and outcomes.
• Produce high-quality insights, reporting and presentations to present recommendations and updates to both the Procurement Leadership team and senior business stakeholders for key priorities, such as driving the delivery and tracking of Procurement savings and benefit realisation, against our targets.
• Facilitate workshops, project meetings and stakeholder forums to align plans, manage dependencies and drive delivery. Coordinating activity across Procurement, Technology, Finance, Legal, Capability and other business functions to ensure successful delivery of strategic priorities and transformation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, ways of working and colleague capability. Including delivery of training programmes and skills frameworks. Supporting change management, communications, training and engagement activities to maximise adoption and business value.

• Strong project management, governance and stakeholder management skills, within transformation programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience of working with senior leaders to deliver business change, including communication and training plans.
• Ability to analyse data, track benefits and translate insights into clear recommendations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience producing executive-level reporting.
• Understanding of procurement, sourcing, supplier management or commercial processes.
• Experience supporting technology-enabled transformation, including procurement systems and digital tools.
• Organised, proactive and delivery-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive outcomes.
