Unique Opportunity - Procurement Opportunity within the Sports Industry

This prestigious household Sports brand is experiencing rapid global expansion and is investing heavily in their Strategic Sourcing function. The company has created a new position for an ambitious Strategic Sourcing expert to join their team and help develop their procurement maturity.

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will receive tailored training and development from senior sponsors, with a clear path for progression within 12 months, and the chance to make a significant impact in largely untapped Indirect spend categories.

Key responsibilities include:

• Becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in contract drafting, negotiations with major global suppliers, and collaborating with senior stakeholders and legal teams.
• Driving compliance and best practices in the Strategic Sourcing process.
• Creating RFIs & RFPs to support multi-million-pound procurement projects, managing complex tenders from start to finish.
• Reporting to the Head of Procurement and participating in a personalized development program aimed at promotion within 12-18 months.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in Strategic Sourcing within Indirect categories (e.g., Marketing, HR, Professional Services, Facilities Management).
• A degree from a leading institution is essential.
• Started CIPS qualification or fully MCIPS qualified.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, sourcing, and supplier contracts, with significant experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
• Ability to operate credibly and authoritatively with senior stakeholders and legal experts in a highly commercial environment.
