Unique Opportunity - Procurement opportunity within the Sports Industry

This prestigious household sports brand is experiencing rapid global expansion and is investing heavily in its Strategic Sourcing function. As a result, a new position has been created for an ambitious Strategic Sourcing specialist to join their journey and help grow the maturity of the procurement function.

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will receive personalized training and development from senior sponsors, enabling your progression within 12 months. This role offers a significant opportunity to establish a legacy within largely untapped indirect spend categories.

Key responsibilities:

• Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in contract drafting, negotiating with major global suppliers, and liaising with senior stakeholders and legal specialists.
• Drive compliance and best practices throughout the Strategic Sourcing process.
• Create RFIs and RFPs to support major procurement projects, handling complex tenders from start to finish.
• Report directly to the Head of Procurement and participate in a tailored development program aimed at promotion within 12-18 months.

Required skills & qualifications:

• Experience in Strategic Sourcing within indirect categories (e.g., Marketing, HR, Professional Services, Facilities Management).
• Degree from a leading institution.
• Started CIPS qualification or fully MCIPS qualified.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, sourcing, and supplier contracts, with significant experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
• Ability to operate in a commercially savvy environment, credible and authoritative with senior stakeholders and legal experts.
