Procurement Specialist

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, with an increase after a 6-month probation.

Hours: 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday

Location: Halo ARC Bognor Regis

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our industry-leading Accident Repair Centre business. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the Procurement Department, supporting the Procurement Manager in developing procurement frameworks and strategies. Your responsibilities will include sourcing, purchasing goods & services, and supporting the strategic direction of procurement.

You will report to and work closely with the Procurement Manager in a modern, fast-paced environment, transforming the Procurement Department, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Building a world-class Procurement function to support the growth of the UK's fastest-growing accident repair business.
  2. Overseeing daily procurement operations across all active sites.
  3. Setting up procurement frameworks for new site launches, including approved suppliers, budgets, and stock lists.
  4. Working with Procurement and Finance to forecast spend, track budgets, and identify trends.
  5. Negotiating stronger commercial terms to support the Procurement Manager.
  6. Managing and developing a junior buyer, focusing on supplier consolidation and process improvement.
  7. Creating, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
  8. Reviewing purchasing data to ensure value through Total Cost Ownership (TCO).
  9. Driving a centralized procurement function using SharePoint, automation, and AI.
  10. Ensuring accurate PO processes and supplier compliance with contractual terms.
  11. Working effectively in a results-driven environment.
Candidate Requirements:
  1. 5+ years’ experience in supplier negotiations and SLA drafting.
  2. Motivated, proactive, and able to work at pace.
  3. Strong understanding of contract and supplier management.
  4. Ability to analyze spend data, control costs, and improve efficiencies.
  5. Highly organized with attention to detail.
  6. Proficient in IT; SAP experience is advantageous.
  7. Team player with experience working under tight deadlines.
  8. Experience managing budgets and aligning purchases with financial plans.
  9. UK Driving Licence; some travel required for new site openings.
