Job Description
- Develop and implement strategic procurement processes within the organisation.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure value for money.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs.
- Undertake large sourcing projects.
- Oversee the procurement & supply chain department's budget and spending.
- Ensure compliance with industry and company procurement standards and regulations.
- Identify and manage risks within the procurement & supply chain process.
- IT procurement experience is key due to the nature of the business.
- Monitor market trends and make procurement recommendations based on these insights.
- Drive continuous improvement within the procurement & supply chain department.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Procurement Specialist should have:
- A degree in Business, Economics, Procurement or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement and supplier relationship management within the financial services industry.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience in project procurement and large sourcing projects.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Prior IT procurement experience.
- A good understanding of procurement software and tools.
- An ability to work well in a team and to lead and motivate others.
