Job description

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Procurement Specialist to join their dynamic team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's supply chain and ensuring the timely delivery of the right parts and services to meet customer needs.

This role is on a contract basis currently up until November with the possibility of extension. This role offers both PAYE or Umbrella rates.

Responsibilities:
  1. Managing and monitoring purchase orders to align with requirements
  2. Optimising ordering parameters to improve efficiency and responsiveness
  3. Monitoring delivery forecasts and 'line of balance' through regular supplier interactions
  4. Participating in supplier performance reviews and providing feedback
  5. Troubleshooting delivery issues, goods receipt, and invoice discrepancies
  6. Analysing MRP and supply exception messages to identify and resolve problems
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Proven experience working in a supply chain environment
  2. Familiarity with using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  3. Strong customer service orientation and the ability to communicate effectively
  4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to optimise supply chain processes
  5. Adaptability and a keen interest in learning and taking on new challenges
