Job summary

A major global defence company in Wales is seeking a Procurement Project Manager to manage the procurement part of the bid process. You will lead a diverse team to ensure the procurement team supports all business bids, while also developing new procurement processes. Ideal candidates will have strong project management experience and be adept in commercial acumen. This role offers a competitive hourly rate.

  • Manage the procurement part of bid process for all the BAE Systems Lands business.
  • Effectively delegate workload across the team, ensuring priorities are managed.
  • Ensure the procurement team supports the bids data as required.
  • Develop a new procurement process to support business bids in line with current processes.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of Company systems, including purchase to pay systems.

Client: BAE Systems

Job Title: Procurement Project Manager

Duration: 12 months

Location: Glascoed

Hourly Rate: £40 PAYE, £53.90 Umbrella

Working Arrangements: 3 days per week on-site

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the procurement part of bid process for all the BAE Systems Lands business
  • Where applicable effectively delegate workload across the team, ensuring priorities are managed.
  • Responsible for making sure the procurement team supports the bids data as required
  • Develop a new procurement process to support the business bids in line with the other current procurement processes in place
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of Company systems, including purchase to pay systems, risk and supplier management tools.
