Job Description:

A vital new role with Marshalls Land Systems has arisen to provide procurement support for the relocation of their on-site assets from Cambridge to their new facility in Huntingdon. The role involves working with the relocation workstream leads to provide sourcing expertise and secure the best deals and contracts for key capex and opex purchases related to the new facility. The primary responsibilities include project managing the purchase process from supplier sourcing and tendering, through negotiation of costs and contract terms, to delivery, installation, and handover to workstream leads.

70% of the role will be based on-site at Marshalls' production facility in Cambridge (postcode CB5 8RX), with the remainder being home/remote working.

Duties:

• Sourcing capital equipment and negotiating costs and terms
• Supporting the sale of obsolete and scrap materials/equipment
• Collaborating with key stakeholders on soft & hard facilities
• Aligning sourcing strategy with the Global Category Team and preferred suppliers
• Engaging directly with stakeholders to determine their needs
• Conducting tendering and negotiations to secure optimal costs and terms
• Reporting progress to workstream leads and managers to ensure project alignment
• Assessing and reporting on contractual impacts due to the move to Huntingdon
• Delivering supply solutions that meet or exceed budget expectations
• Managing and mitigating supply chain risks
• Ensuring all purchasing approvals are completed according to DoA guidelines
• Supporting the Procure-2-Pay process for the workstream leads
• Managing suppliers to meet timelines and budgets
• Identifying and addressing supply chain risks appropriately

Qualifications:

• Experience in capital procurement or project management
• Previous stakeholder management at a management level
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems and Excel
• Proven track record in managing project spend and supply for capital purchases
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Decision-making capabilities
• Proactive and self-starting approach
