Job summary

Great British Energy - Nuclear, an arm's length body of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, is recruiting a Procurement Project Manager to deliver major projects within Commercial. The role requires travel to Warrington (Head Office) or London and supports assurance activities including business cases and gateway reviews.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing complex projects within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong risk management capability to anticipate and mitigate risks.
• Experience in developing and maintaining project plans and interdependencies.
• Experience supporting government approvals and assurance processes.
• Ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of procurement plans aligned to delivery milestones.
• Ensure audit readiness and robust project delivery structures at initiation.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to manage procurement dependencies and resources.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate procurement risks to protect project milestones.
• Maintain governance and reporting to drive procurement activity and informed decisions.
• Support assurance activities including business cases and gateway reviews.
