Job description

Procurement Professional

Location: Glascoed (1-2 days per week on site)

Rate: £32.18 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

Contract: 6 months initially

This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based in Glascoed. The role offers hybrid working with 1-2 days per week on site.

Duties

1. Work on current contracts, support new bids for existing products, and manage general supply chain requirements.
2. Negotiate pricing and contracting terms and conditions.
3. Manage supplier performance and relationships to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability, and in-service performance.
4. Resolve operational issues promptly.
5. Oversee the day-to-day performance of assigned categories and suppliers regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance.
6. Optimize supply chain execution by balancing inventory, supply orders, and demand schedules.

Knowledge

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SAP.

Essential Skills

• Experience with SAP processes and understanding their impact.
• Strong business acumen and commercial awareness to gather, report, and analyze information, and to identify effective solutions.

Desirable Skills

• Ability to engage and influence internal stakeholders.
• Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, demonstrating courtesy, diplomacy, and tact in line with the company's code of conduct.
